Innovation - any new idea - by definition will not be accepted at first. It takes repeated attempts, endless demonstrations, monotonous rehearsals before innovation can be accepted and internalized by an organization. This requires courageous patience.

RESEARCH

The MBA Roundtable generates significant research studies designed to capture curricular best practices and report curricular changes and trends in MBA education, to the benefit of our member schools.  We maintain a database that includes information regarding member school demographics, key characteristics of the curricular change process employed within business schools, curricular revisions and designs in MBA education, and best practice approaches to curricular design and content delivery.

The MBA Roundtable shares the knowledge gained with our members and the field of graduate management education via formal research reports, conference presentations, webinars, press releases, and our publications.

We are able to deliver practical and relevant information thanks to the active participation of our members in our research agenda.  Members regularly engage in research surveys, interviews, and events to build our collective knowledge.

Rapid Response Surveys - Focused and practical, these surveys are designed to provide members valuable benchmarking data on hot topics related to MBA curriculum. Past surveys have examined leadership competency development and assessment, the use of virtual teaming, and experiential learning initiatives. Comprehensive reports are available to all member schools.

Triennial Curricular Innovation Survey - This research study and survey, delivered every three years in partnership with Percept Research, examines the curriculum delivered in MBA programs and identifies current trends in curricular development.  MBAR members receive reports with valuable and practical data to inform curricular change at their institutions.

Through its research the MBA Roundtable examines many curricular dimensions - from change processes, to design, to learning outcomes - all within the context of global environmental factors such as student demographics and the current market environment. These elements interact to shape curricular offerings and characterize the MBA degree.
