Diversity Equity & Inclusion Specialist, Jones Graduate School of Business, Rice University

The DEI Specialist, Special Projects, Communications & Operations (DEI Specialist) is responsible for (a) providing managerial and operational support to the Senior Associate Dean for DEI (Senior Associate Dean) who administers and directs a dynamic portfolio of DEI-related special projects that align with new and emerging strategic priorities of the Office of DE&I (b) creating and managing a multi-media communications plan to inform and engage our stakeholders about the progress and impact of our work as well as key DEI-related issues and events, (c) helping to advance the provision of DEI-related support for school-wide operations and (d) providing administrative, operations and budget support for the Office DE&I to enable efficient and effective office operations. In fulfilling the duties of the position, the DEI Specialist creates and implements plans, processes and procedures required to produce high-quality deliverables and reports to the Executive Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (EDDEI), who will act as a resources to, monitor and manage the DEI Specialist to achieve deliverables required to fulfill all job duties, including deliverables produced at the direction of and/or in collaboration directly with the Senior Associate Dean.
