, which will take place prior to the start of the 2019 Leadership Conference. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, January 22nd from 8:30 – 3:30 at the The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, USA. Management educators today are challenged to develop curriculum and pedagogies that support students in learning how to manage and lead in rapidly changing business contexts. More schools than ever are using experiential learning as a component of their curriculum to address this challenge. However, expanding these opportunities is limited by a unique set of complex challenges inherent in the approach. Assurance of learning is one of them.
Advising and assessing students in experiential learning courses is resource intensive, content for courses must be redeveloped each time the course is offered, and external projects must be sourced. This makes applying standard approaches to assurance of learning more difficult. The Assurance of Learning Subcommittee of the MBA LEPE organization (Leaders in Project-Based Experiential Learning) has been studying this topic for 3+ years. This workshop introduces a set of assurance of learning standards they have developed and discusses the status of their implementation to date.
Join us for our upcoming workshop - Experiential Learning and the Assurance of Learning Challenge –
and learn about applying these standards and developing best practices for assurance of learning in experiential programs.
Who should attend: Faculty, Academic Directors, Program Directors, Experiential Program Leaders – Decision makers who have direct impact on experiential program design, management, delivery and evaluation.
Fee: $275 USD - MBA Roundtable Members/$350 USD - Non-Members
